Esta sorprendente caravana ha ganado el premio al diseño de caravanas en el Salón de Dusseldorf 2006/2007 . Lo que más nos llama la atención es que combina un motor híbrido (Diesel + Eléctrico), con paneles fotovoltaicos en el techo. Como la original Volkswagen Westfalia y la cultura hippy, la nueva Verdier entra a formar parte de una nueva cultura basada en energías limpias, la naturaleza y el placer de ser autosufiente. En el video se pueden observar algunas de las características que incorpora:
– Un sistema llamado «SUN TRACKER» que mediante un sistema de geoposicionamiento orienta los paneles solares cuando el vehículo está parado para tener electricidad en toda la caravana.
– Suspensión neumática que baja la chasis del vehículo hasta que apoya en el suelo para mejorar la estabilidad y confort cuando está estacionado.
– El asiento del pasajero se transforma en unas escaleras que permiten subir a la segunda planta fácilmente.
– Y por supuesto, un ordenador multimedia con conexión Wireless.
Un forma diferente de hacer turismo por un precio de unos 51.000€, lo cual no está nada mal teniendo en cuenta que una auto caravana normal puede andar entre 40.000 y 50.000€, con lo que el precio no se dispara.
