Ya que los dos precursores de este blog nos consideramos unos Geek, vamos a explicar brevemente el término para que cada vez más gente conozca a la perfección todo el vocabulario 2.0. Existen multitud de definicones para este término, esta es la que considero más completa:
Geek: n. – Una persona que ha elegido la concentración en vez de el conformismo; alguien que persigue la habilidad (especialmente la habilidad técnica) y la imaginación, en vez de la aceptación social de la mayoría. Los geeks habitualmente padecen una versión aguda de neofilia (sentirse atraidos, excitados y complacidos por cualquier cosa «nueva»). La mayor parte de los geeks son hábiles con los ordenadores y entienden la palabra hacker como un término de respeto, pero no todos ellos son hackers.
Otra definición muy breve y que me parece buenísima es que un geek es un «High-tec yonki», explica con dos palabras el término de una forma muy completa.
