Actualización de nuestro post sobre la energía eólica en España con los datos del año completo 2007, que sin duda son muy positivos.
A finales de 2007 España produce el 16,1% de la energía eólica mundial con sus 15.145MW de potencia instalada, lo que nos coloca terceros en la lista tras Alemania (23,6%) y EEUU (17,9%) respectivamente. A nivel europeo estamos los segundos tras Alemania con sus 22.247MW instalados.
A nivel mundial, la energía eólica genera un 1,3% de todo el consumo eléctrico mundial (200 TWh), una cifra bastante baja, pero no muy mala del todo puesto que es una media. Si hablamos de crecimientos, el podio es para EEUU, España y China, respectivamente. Éste último para mí el más sorprendente porque ha pasado de 2604MW instalados a 6.050MW lo que hace un crecimiento del 127%. Como en todo China va dando pasos de gigante en cualquiera de los campos con más futuro, el gigante chino se abre camino a destajo.
El fin de este post no es aburrir con datos sino más bien tener una panorámica del importante papel que hoy día juega España en este campo y una idea de los datos mundiales. Me quedo con una gráfica de la World Wind Energy Association que pone de manifiesto de forma muy significativa el auge que esta energía limpia ha experimentado en los últimos 10 años. Volvemos a observar que parece que nos estamos dando cuenta de que el modelo energético de hoy en día está caducado.
